Equibuilt windows and patio doors adorn Halifax’s Newest Business Hotel

In early 2007, Marriott Hotels’ newest property in Halifax opened its doors. The hotel building is a multi-use development that includes a 125 room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 38 apartments and two retail areas totaling 6,500 square feet.

Marriott required outstanding windows and doors that would not only look beautiful but also perform beautifully against the elements. The hotel’s close proximity to and orientation toward the harbour made these needs even more important.

To ensure that Marriott would never have to worry about their windows, we provided 300 of our top of the line Supreme windows, whose elegant styling was a perfect fit for the Courtyard brand’s most up to date design scheme. Each window is a plain frame design with 3/4 return and came complete with LoE/Argon glazing to ensure maximum energy efficiency. All multiple units were reinforced with engineered steel, and specific details such as galvanized installation brackets were applied to the mullions of the custom bay window. Marriott also ordered Select patio doors for their excellent performance, durability and value.
