Now in its 19th year, the Festival of Trees, in support of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, has raised more than $3 million. Each year the money raised from the Festival of Trees supports groundbreaking research and leading edge treatment of mental illnesses in Nova Scotia. This success is possible because of the contributions of businesses, organizations and individuals with their generous gifts of time, talent, and treasures.
The goal of the Festival of Trees is to shine a light on the issues of mental health. It’s not something to be ashamed of, hidden away or ignored. We all want a healthy, safe and vibrant community and good mental health is an essential part of creating that community.
Equibuilt created a one-of-a-kind tree constructed of windows for this year’s Festival of Trees. We were proud to have been a part of an event that helps people look beyond the misconceptions about mental health.
